ROTTA - red
Thermally sealed vest, lined in Thindown® for warmth, with front buckle closures
Rotta looks exactly like a real lifejacket in its bright red or electric blue versions, with three quickfastening magnetic buckle closures BUT it is a fashion garment, NOT a lifejacket. It is designed to be worn layered over a sweater or a jacket and features a highly visible embossed Takaturna spiral on the back. Rotta is lined inside with warm black 100% eco-sustainable fleece in recycled PET and is padded with Thindown®.
Thindown® has all the advantages of real down, such as lightness, breathability and warmth, but it consists of a fabric made from recycled goose down using a special patented technique.
The Thindown® is sandwiched between two layers of Sensitive® Bonded fabric
from Eurojersey, founder of the SensitiveEcoSystem® environmental awareness project.

is transparent in its green approach
We are selective with our suppliers and minimize internal energy use and waste. However, sustainability for Takaturna means much more. If you keep wearing a garment for several years and then gift it to someone else, you are not only paying us a big compliment, you are also helping keep the planet healthy.
To be completely transparent, we have evaluated each component of each garment and assigned them a percentage of sustainability. The assessments can be based, for example, on the use of recycled products or on the fact that their eventual disposal does not pollute the atmosphere. The beauty and performance aspects of fabrics, trims, dyeing and finishing are of prime importance to us, however, when we make our selection, we are always striving to improve and this is reflected in our sustainability indexing.
